Mask Wearing Made Easier

Some states are loosening restrictions put in place because of the Coronavirus pandemic. In Texas, restaurants are allowed to welcome more diners, schools are opening for in-person instruction and water fitness classes are resuming. This does not mean, however, that the pandemic has ended.

Activities of Daily Living

The activities of daily living, or ADLs, are self-care tasks. These tasks are: Self-feeding Bathing and showering Dressing Functional mobility, or the ability to walk, get in and out of bed, and in and out of a chair Toileting Continence It goes without saying that we all want to be able to do these tasks as long as possible.

Cleaning during the Pandemic

Cases of COVID-19 are surging in Texas where I live, and in many other parts of the United States. Governors want to avoid lock-down orders and are depending on us to wear masks and practice social distancing. This is because the coronavirus spreads mainly through person-to-person contact and wearing masks has been shown to slow the spread of the virus.

Nevertheless, the risk and danger of getting COVID-19 still remains and it makes sense to continue to stay at home as much as possible, especially if you have a chronic condition or are age 60 or older.
